Your match plan

This challenge measures how you make football decisions under a financial constraint. It does not imply that any named club is insolvent or publish a fabricated starting debt.

Set the challenge rules

If the save shows a genuine recovery problem, record the actual figures and dates privately in your ledger. Otherwise call the project spending restraint and choose a voluntary rule, such as funding new commitments from completed departures. Do not describe a self-imposed limit as an official board requirement.

State what the rule covers: initial fees, instalments, signing costs and ongoing pay may create very different obligations. Use the terms shown in the game. Decide how renewals and emergency cover are treated before an attractive negotiation makes an exception convenient.

Choose the starting project

Build a commitment calendar alongside the positional depth chart. Identify when contracts need decisions and which football responsibility would be lost after a departure. Compare retaining a player with the cost and uncertainty of replacing the same job, rather than assuming every sale improves the project.

Hoffenheim can serve as a role-first recruitment exercise, but our briefing makes no claim about its FM27 finances. No verified recovery-club ranking is available here. Select a club after reading the actual financial screen and board terms, or openly apply the same voluntary spending rule to a club you already enjoy.

Review the project without rewriting its rules

At each window, compare the new obligations with the written rule and explain exceptions. Include offers that failed and vacancies left unresolved so the ledger is useful for the next decision. A free transfer is not automatically free of pay, bonuses, agent involvement or a difficult playing-time commitment.

Judge the football consequences as well as the financial result. A lower commitment that removes essential cover may simply move the problem onto the pitch. Set the next review after a complete block of fixtures and a financial reporting point in your own save. There is no sourced universal debt threshold or guaranteed route to recovery on this page.

Use a pending-commitment column for negotiations that have not completed. Several individually reasonable deals can exceed the chosen rule when combined. Reconcile the ledger after each confirmed agreement, and avoid counting a proposed sale as income before the departure actually happens.
