What this site stores in your browser
This edition has no account registration, contact form, comments, newsletter or checkout. Search runs locally in your browser against the published guide titles and keywords. The site does not send the text entered in its search dialog to Google Analytics or a search service.
If you change the colour theme, the site saves that preference under fm27-theme in local storage. You can remove it using your browser’s site-data controls. If local storage is unavailable, the theme can still change for the current page session.
Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to understand visits and page usage on the production website. It loads after the page becomes interactive and may use cookies or similar technologies to measure page views and interactions. Google may receive information such as visited page URLs, referring pages, browser and device information, and technical information accompanying the request.
This information helps us understand which guides readers use and improve the website. We do not configure custom analytics events containing names, email addresses or text entered in the local search dialog. Google processes analytics information under its own policies. Browser privacy settings, cookie controls and content blockers can affect whether analytics is collected.
Videos and external websites
YouTube is not contacted by the video player until you click a play or chapter button. After that choice, a video loads from youtube-nocookie.com using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed. The provider can receive technical information, including your IP address and browser information, and may process data under its own policies. Privacy-enhanced playback is not a promise of zero data collection.
You can unload a video with the control below it. This stops the embedded player but does not reverse data already received by its provider. Official-source links and the Watch on YouTube link take you to external services that have their own privacy practices.
Technical information and policy changes
The hosting provider may process ordinary request information, such as IP address, requested path, time and browser details, to deliver and secure the website. The website application does not maintain a separate visitor database. Hosting retention and processing depend on the provider selected by the site operator.
