The source material available for this first edition does not include a licensed, verifiable export of FM27 player attributes, potential values or contract details. We therefore do not publish a ranked list of names with invented numbers. Real-world reputation alone is not a reliable replacement for the data in a particular game build or your own save.
Official material confirms improvements to scouting messages and the presentation of the annual NXGN 50 message. Those are useful places to discover candidates inside the game, but an appearance on a list does not settle whether a player suits your club. Record the game version and review the information your scouts actually have before comparing targets.
Build a role-first shortlist
Start with a job description. Identify the position, the responsibilities in your tactic and the level of immediate contribution you need. Compare players against that same brief so that an exciting attacking contribution does not hide a weakness in a responsibility your system depends on.
Sports Interactive says scout reports include Tactical Effectiveness information to help assess fit. Read that alongside the visible attributes and the report’s limitations. Separate players who could contribute now from those who need a longer development period. Where the game has not revealed enough information, keep the uncertainty visible instead of filling a spreadsheet cell with a guess.
Recruit the player and the development plan
Before making an offer, consider who currently occupies the position and where meaningful playing opportunities could come from. A player may be promising yet face a crowded route into the senior squad. Your intended pathway should be plausible in the context of the club’s competitions, staff and existing commitments.
The official training explanation distinguishes senior match preparation from individual development. Use the latter to think about the player’s particular needs while monitoring how they fit into the team’s plan. Reassess progress at intervals rather than assuming a fixed destination from an early report.
