Cheap is a comparison of the actual commitment and the job a player can perform. The published sample has no verified fees or wages, so this page does not manufacture a priced shortlist.

Define what affordable means for this vacancy
Begin with the role the squad needs and the resources you are willing to commit to it. A player with a lower headline fee can still require ongoing pay, bonuses or promises that do not fit the place you can offer. Compare the full arrangement shown in your own save instead of treating a familiar budget label as a price guarantee.
Our young-player sample contains source-reported positions, ages and ability values, but no verified asking prices or wages. Neither a lower CA nor a smaller source club proves that a target is affordable. This guide therefore provides a budget decision process and links to discovery tools without falsely presenting those candidates as the cheapest available signings.
| Constraint | Record in your save |
|---|---|
| Football job | The responsibility that needs cover |
| Immediate commitment | Actual fee terms and other up-front amounts |
| Ongoing commitment | Pay and conditional terms shown during negotiation |
| Opportunity | The minutes and development support you can offer |
Search the alternatives to an expensive permanent move
Compare a permanent candidate with internal cover, a loan opportunity or a source-listed free agent only after checking the actual situation in your save. Those routes solve different time-frame problems. A short-term option may cover an immediate vacancy while leaving a longer development decision open; a promising permanent signing may need resources and minutes before contributing.
Use position and age filters to create a relevant young-player group, then collect contract and report evidence for the candidates who fit the brief. The database’s potential values are discovery references, not price estimates. Keeping the report and the offer beside the same job description makes it easier to reject an attractive name that does not solve the priority.
A free transfer still consumes resources
The free-agent reference view belongs to a different source snapshot and cannot be directly compared with the ability dataset. Verify current contract status and the proposed terms before treating a no-fee route as the affordable answer.
Include the development opportunity in the decision
A young player who cannot get appropriate opportunities may be an inefficient signing even when the initial commitment is small. Review the competition for their position and the responsibilities they would actually be asked to learn. Do not describe a future resale profit as part of the evidence when no such outcome has occurred.
Keep a shortlist and a fallback rather than relying on one deal. Export the selected source snapshot if you want to add your own save-specific offer notes elsewhere, preserving its date and version. Recheck the terms before an agreement and after an update; an older public list is not a permanent quote from the club or player.
