Use the goalkeepers role brief before comparing reported ability. The reference sample supplies discovery evidence, not a complete player report.

Write a goalkeepers recruitment brief

A young goalkeeper shortlist should distinguish protecting the goal from distributing into the first phase. Those responsibilities can require different evidence. Start with the job your team needs and the passing options your defenders provide, rather than treating the largest reported PA as an automatic solution to every goalkeeping problem.

This view contains the young GK records in one published Launch Preview snapshot. It preserves fixed potential values and potential bands as different source facts. The underlying save and exact build were not independently inspected, so use these records to organise scouting questions rather than to claim identical hidden values in every new career.

Read the role evidence in context

Compare the keeper with the space behind your defensive line and the pressure on the intended first receiver. If the defender is always closed down, a more ambitious distribution instruction may not supply the missing passing angle. Watch the entire connection instead of judging only the final pass that loses possession.

The sample supplies no handling, reflexes, rushing or passing attributes. It therefore cannot settle a shot-stopping versus distribution comparison by itself. Collect the relevant evidence in the current report, retain the unknowns and check the actual role feedback in your save before assigning a more demanding goalkeeping job.

A potential range is still a range

Araki’s reported 150–180 band stays visible. Sorting its ceiling first answers a different question from sorting its lower bound first; neither endpoint is a promised development outcome.

Keep the pathway and data limits visible

A goalkeeper who rarely plays needs a clear development decision rather than a permanent place at the bottom of the squad list. Compare the appearances realistically available at your club with the role the player would be expected to perform elsewhere. Do not promise development simply because a loan or a bench place is available.

One record leaves its club blank. The database shows that as not supplied, not as proof of a free transfer. Check club, contract and eligibility before an approach. Source age, club context and ability values stay tied to the same snapshot, and the comparison tool refuses to mix that snapshot with the separate free-agent list.

Third-party reference

CA/PA use the reported 1–200 scale. A PA band must fit entirely within your minimum and maximum; lower-bound and ceiling sorting are separate choices. Unknown values are excluded by numeric filters. FC is the source code for central forward.
